Goshen Community Schools Provides Update on Goshen High School Principal Search

Goshen, IN — Following the retirement announcement of Cathleen DeMeyer prior to winter break, Goshen Community Schools is grateful for the continued leadership of the Goshen High School administrative team, including its four grade-level assistant principals, who have ensured stability and continuity for students and staff.
Beginning in January, Lori Shreiner, Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education, while keeping her current position, assumed a temporary leadership role at Goshen High School. She will be working closely with the GHS administrative team to provide additional district-level support for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year. She is helping maintain smooth daily operations while offering focused leadership during this transition period.
“Our priority is to ensure a steady and supportive environment for students, staff, and families,” said Jim DuBois, Superintendent of Goshen Community Schools. “Ms. Shreiner’s experience and familiarity with our secondary schools will help us maintain momentum while we thoughtfully prepare for the next phase of leadership at GHS.”
During this period, district administrators will work closely with Goshen High School administrators and teachers to gather feedback and insight that will help shape a clear and meaningful profile of the qualities, skills, and leadership traits desired in the next high school principal. This collaborative process will inform a future search and ensure the selected leader reflects the needs and values of the GHS community.
Goshen Community Schools remains committed to conducting a thorough and intentional search process at the appropriate time. Additional details regarding the principal search will be shared as they become available.
