GHS National Merit Semifinalists and Commended Students
Goshen High School is proud to recognize two seniors, GRETA MILLER and BRAYDEN WIESE,
named as National Merit Scholarship Program semifinalists. These talented students have an
opportunity to continue in the competition to be awarded one of nearly 7,000 National Merit
Scholarships in the spring, which have a combined value of approximately $26 million.
The National Merit Scholarship Program honors students who demonstrate exceptional academic
ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies based on PSAT and SAT scores. To be
considered for a Merit Scholarship award, semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance
in the competition. For more information, visit nationalmerit.org.
Goshen High School also proudly congratulates JOSHUA NARAYAN and ELEANOR POST who
have been named Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program:
A letter of commendation from the high school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which
conducts the program, will be presented by the high school principal to these scholastically talented
seniors who have been selected as Commended Students.
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional
academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2025 competition for National Merit
Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.5
million students who entered the 2025 competition by taking the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National
Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).
Our Goshen Schools community is very proud of Greta, Brayden, Josh, and Eleanor for achieving
such educational excellence!
