Goshen Junior High Orchestra Director Sean Patrick Honored as INASTA Junior High Teacher of the Year

Goshen, IN — Goshen Community Schools is proud to share that Sean Patrick, orchestra director at Goshen Junior High School, was recognized on Saturday, January 17, as the Junior High Teacher of the Year by the Indiana Chapter of the American String Teachers Association (INASTA).
The Junior High Teacher of the Year Award is presented annually to an outstanding educator who demonstrates excellence in string education and a strong commitment to student growth. Recipients are nominated by fellow members of INASTA and selected by a committee of the organization, reflecting the respect and recognition of peers across the state.
Mr. Patrick is known for his student-centered approach to music education and for creating a welcoming, challenging, and supportive learning environment for young musicians. Under his leadership, students develop not only technical skills and musical understanding, but also confidence, collaboration, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
“Sean’s impact reaches far beyond performances or concerts,” said Dr. Jan Baker, Principal at Goshen Junior High School. “He builds meaningful relationships with students and helps them discover their potential through music.”
