Goshen Student Selected to Attend National 4-H Ignite Summit in Washington, D.C.

Goshen, IN — Goshen Community Schools is proud to celebrate Goshen High School student Ramon Pardo, who has been selected to attend the Ignite by 4-H Summit in Washington, D.C., March 25–29, 2026. Ramon is among a select group of students from across Indiana and the nation chosen to participate in this prestigious four-day leadership and learning experience.
Ignite by 4-H brings together teens from across the country to collaborate, connect, and cultivate skills that prepare them for future success. Participants engage in immersive, hands-on workshops and experiences across key focus areas, including STEM, Agriscience, Animal Science, Community Accelerators, and Healthy Living. The summit is designed to spark curiosity, build resilience, and empower students to explore career pathways and civic engagement.
Ramon was selected for his strong interest in artificial intelligence and STEM learning, as well as his enthusiasm, growth, and leadership potential. During previous college and career exploration experiences, including visits to Purdue University and the Vincennes University–Purdue University Aviation Technology Center, Ramon demonstrated a clear passion for learning and innovation that stood out to state 4-H leaders.
“Ramon has shown tremendous growth since his junior high years,” said Corey Sharp, Elkhart County Purdue Extension Representative. “His curiosity, maturity, and genuine excitement for learning—especially in AI— made this opportunity possible. We are incredibly proud of him.”
Ignite by 4-H is hosted in Washington, D.C., allowing students not only to engage in high-level learning but also to experience the nation’s capital alongside peers from across the country.
Goshen Community Schools congratulates Ramon on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to seeing how this experience helps shape his future.
