Goshen Community Schools (GCS) is inviting families, educators, and community partners from across the region to attend the 2026 Indiana Family Engagement Summit: “Real Life, Real Parenting: Partnering for Student Success” on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

 

Goshen will serve as one of five regional locations for the statewide event, which is free and open to all families, regardless of school district affiliation. The Summit is designed to bring families, educators, and community organizations together to strengthen partnerships, share practical resources, and support student success.

 

The Goshen regional event will be held at Goshen Intermediate School and will connect local families with organizations and resources available throughout the community. Attendees will have opportunities to learn, ask questions, build connections, and discover services that can support their families both in and outside of school.

 

This year’s Summit will feature keynote speaker Wilisha Scaife and will focus on the real-life experiences families face while raising and supporting children. Through conversations and shared resources, the event aims to strengthen the connection between home, school, and community and provide families with practical tools they can use in their everyday lives.

 

In addition to the keynote, families can attend sessions on strategies that help children build self-regulation, independence, and confidence both at school and at home—including effective study skills, managing test anxiety, and strengthening the home-school partnership.

 

The Summit is a statewide initiative organized in partnership with IN*SOURCE, with regional locations providing families across Indiana an opportunity to participate closer to home. Families are encouraged to register for whichever regional location is most convenient for them.
